Courage journals as companions.
Personal journals accompany each child through the programme — not a performance log, but a courage diary. Every small step has space. The child's own pace becomes visible, without being graded.
Fear becomes ability. Ability becomes self-confidence.
The numbers are alarming: more and more children are not learning to swim or carry deep-seated fears of water. Traditional swimming lessons often have no time to build emotional trust.
This is exactly where "Find Your Water" begins.
We do not train competitive swimmers. We train courage.
In 1926, Gertrude "Trudy" Ederle became the first woman to swim the English Channel. Many told her: "Give up, you'll never make it." Her answer?
"What for would I give up?" (What for?) — Trudy Ederle, 1926We carry Trudy's mindset to show children aged 8 to 11: it is completely okay to be afraid. Courage means trying anyway — at your own pace.
"Find Your Water" is a free, foundation-funded companion programme for schools and swimming clubs. Everything is based on absolute voluntariness. No pressure — only support.
Personal journals accompany each child through the programme — not a performance log, but a courage diary. Every small step has space. The child's own pace becomes visible, without being graded.
Structured, scientifically advised materials for teachers and coaches. Building blocks for emotional water acclimatisation rather than pure technique — designed to integrate with existing swimming lessons.
At the end, every child receives a courage certificate — not for a distance swum, but for personal development at their own pace. Recognition instead of performance pressure.
We are currently testing "Find Your Water" in an exclusive pilot phase. If you are a school director, teacher or funder interested in walking this important step with us, please get in touch.
Find Your Water is currently in its preparation and pilot phase. It is a purely educational companion programme and does not replace swimming lessons.
