Data Processing Principles
We take the protection of your personal data seriously and treat your data confidentially, in accordance with applicable data-protection law (GDPR · Regulation (EU) 2016/679, Liechtenstein Data Protection Act, where applicable Swiss DSG) and this privacy policy. Use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Where personal data is collected, this is always done on a voluntary basis.
Hosting and Log Data
This website is hosted externally by Red Baron Marketing GmbH & Co. KG, Gottlieb-Daimler-Str. 20, 47608 Geldern, Germany (data processor). We have concluded a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR, ensuring server log files are processed strictly on instruction and GDPR-compliant.
We automatically collect information your browser transmits (browser type/version, operating system, referrer URL, host name, time of request, IP address — truncated after 7 days). This data is not assignable to specific persons and is used solely for security and aggregated statistics. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.
Cookies and Consent Management
Our website uses so-called "cookies". Cookies cause no harm to your device and contain no viruses; they make our service more user-friendly and secure. Technically necessary cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.
First-party cookie banner: This website uses its own cookie banner; no third-party consent platform is used. Your choice (accept/decline) is stored locally in your browser (localStorage). If you decline, Google Analytics measurement is disabled. You can change your decision at any time by deleting the stored site data in your browser. Legal basis for consent-requiring technologies: Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR.
Contact by E-mail
If you contact us by e-mail, your information is stored to process the inquiry and any follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (contractual / pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding).
Third-party Services
Google Analytics: This website uses Google Analytics, a web-analytics service by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It uses cookies to analyse website use; the information generated (incl. truncated IP address) is transmitted to Google. We use it on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR), given via our cookie banner and revocable at any time (the "Decline" button). Data transfer to the US is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC); Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF).
External web fonts (Google Fonts): We use Google Fonts for consistent typography. When loading the fonts, your browser connects to Google servers. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in consistent presentation (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR) or your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR) where requested. We use no advertising-partner tracking scripts (no Facebook pixel, no Google Tags, no LinkedIn or TikTok pixel). Note: a local embedding is in preparation.
Instagram: Functions of Instagram, offered by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland, may be integrated. When active, a direct connection is established between your device and Instagram's server, and Instagram receives information about your visit. Used only after your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR); US data transfer is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and the provider is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF).
Zoom
We use Zoom (Zoom Video Communications, Inc., 55 Almaden Blvd, Suite 600, San Jose, CA 95113, USA) to communicate with partners and the foundation board. Zoom processes the data you provide (e.g. e-mail address, possibly phone number) and conference metadata (duration, start/end, number of participants). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We have concluded a DPA; US data transfer is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and Zoom is certified under the Data Privacy Framework.
Data Subject Rights
You have the right to: access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), withdrawal of consent at any time without reasons, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Liechtenstein the Datenschutzstelle (Vaduz), or your local authority. Please send inquiries to privacy@trudyederlefoundation.org.
Retention Periods
We store your personal data only as long as required for the respective processing or as legal retention obligations require. After the purpose ceases or retention periods expire, the data is deleted or blocked.
